A traditional Ayurvedic approach to relieving abdominal bloating and gas using carminative herbs and digestive spices. In Ayurveda, bloating is often attributed to aggravated Vata in the digestive tract (called Adhmana). This remedy combines warming, aromatic spices that kindle the digestive fire (Agni) and help expel excess gas. Research suggests that many of these carminative herbs contain volatile oils that relax smooth muscle in the GI tract, reducing spasms and trapped gas.
