Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is understood in Ayurveda as a Vata-predominant digestive imbalance affecting the Grahani (small intestine function). This herbal approach combines gut-soothing and carminative herbs to calm erratic bowel movements, reduce cramping, and restore rhythmic digestion. Research suggests that peppermint oil and ginger may help reduce IBS-related abdominal pain and bloating. This remedy focuses on grounding Vata energy in the digestive tract while gently kindling Agni.
